Default 2013+ camera question on the nav screen?

Hi all,

Another question while I was tinkering around with my LS.

When I was in the Settings I believe within the nav/media unit, I noticed there was a button within the display that said "camera" if I clicked it, it would just go black, and then if it clicked it again or something, it would say "map' or something of the sort.

What does that function do? Regardless of whatever I hit, it doesn't do anything, I sort of thought by hitting the "camera" button it would do some sort of camera override/bypass where I could view what's behind me while the vehicle is in motion?

Clueless here.

Thank you in advance.

I think I just woke up..

It adjusts the display for the camera in terms of color tones..

if I'm wrong, please correct me..

It's been one long day at the office.

You are correct. You can adjust brightness and contrast for the Map and Camera displays (by toggling that top button). The colored squares just show how your B/C adjustments affect specific colors but you cannot adjust color balance individually. Be sure to hit OK to save changes.

Screen OFF makes the entire screen black. BUT if you have uploaded Custom Images in the other menu, you can display any photo of your choice when the Display/Screen is turned off. The image won't fill the entire screen just the center of the screen. It's pretty neat

If you have an image the size of the left portion of the screen it will center it. Then if a call comes in it moves it tot he left and the smaller box manages the call.
