Default Muffler tips that fit inside the LS460 stock tips

Anyone know of an aftermarket muffler tip that can fit inside the stock ls460 tips. I just cut off the stock mufflers and want to dress it up a bit. Has anyone done this?

By the way, the car sounds amazing without the mufflers.

Like any V8, It sounds great at first, but then it grates on you. I drove it for a day like that just for kicks. The drone is horrendous.

As for tips, it's been asked before, but no one has been able to find anything, as I recall.

nar8ta - I'm lock-step with roadfrog. Might want to drive it for a while (a month) to see if you want to keep it that way.

Are you say this because you sell the vents? I'm not say you vents aren't great....but It just sounds a little bias (IMO). If I want to change, Ill keep your vents in mind, or install a an aftermarket muffler. No disrespect!!!

Take a walk around a local car show and talk to some of the guys who have had custom exhaust work done and talk to them...... There are many "local" shows around this time of year. There is also Crown Muffler on Staten Island, NY who may be worth checking out too.

TIP! "IF" you decide to keep the muffs off....... Buy a BIG bottle of Advil at Costco.

Naa, I came from the second generation GS section (I've been on CL for years), and had an exhaust on my cars for years. The LS without the mufflers is quiet compared to my old GS. I am now look to clean up the tips for looks.

Also, my friend owns a muffler shop on the island, He chopped the muffler bent new piping and did the welding work. I just wants some tip ideas.

I'll check into it, thanks for the link. I think the issue is the size of the stock outlet connected to the bumper. It would have to be a small size single or dual tip to fit inside it. If not you will get a rattle from the tips hitting the outlet. Also the bumper outlet may have to trimmed do to it tapering in.
