Thanks for that. My understanding was that they were incorporated onto the same antenna. So where IS the antenna? Built into the rear window?
The satellite radio antenna is the "shark fin" on the roof, just forward of the back window. The GPS antenna is in the dash, below the inside rearview mirror.
I will try to give you some addition information later today.
Do you know if your radio is an XM radio or is it a Sirius radio. The US LS460s are configured with XM radios, but since you are not in the US yours might be a Sirius radio if it was configured for the Canadian market.
I received one month free subscription from XM but never be able to activate it. Didn't bother to follow-up with XM. This thread triggered the thought on hardware, will test that with new subscription and report back.
Update :
I didn't get a chance to follow-up on this issue as I have sold this car. Besides not been able to connect to XM (tried many times, open sky, clear sky, from mobile app activate, XM pushing something to activate etc), I wasn't able to connect phones using blue tooth.
I had the same phone connected in the past. Then switched and came back, wasn't able to connect 'any' phones. Decided to have dealer check the hardware for XM reception and blue tooth. But sold it before next service visit.
BTW, same exact phones were easily connected with 14 LS. So, the issue is not with phones. Also, could able to activate XM.
Spoke with my SA. He said if XM subscription is active and not being able to connect, there could be three possibilities. Antenna, wiring from antenna to unit or unit itself could be an issue. He said unless diagnosed, won't be able to pin point.

Will car audio shop be able to help you?.
Thanks for the follow-up. That pretty much sums up what I suspected. I am leaning towards going back into the dash/console (ugh), in case I accidentally forgot a connection when I installed the Vaistech bluetooth audio kit or my bypass module. Maybe a pinched wire...who knows.
On my previous 12 LS, I only tried once to activate it. So, I can't for sure say whether XM stopped working some time after my purchase or was like that when I purchased. But, Bluetooth stopped working few months back. Whether they are linked or not, I don't know.
