Smile Passenger Headlight Assembly has water inside !

Hey guys, first of all how are you guys doing and thank you for who ever comes across and listen to my problem !

Well, here is my problem. My passenger headlight assembly been acting weird lately. The bulb would not turn on sometimes and i heard a zapping sound when its on. So today i decided to take a lil bit of time and remove the whole assembly out and found out that it has a puddle of water in the bottom of the assembly. It caught me offguard on how did the water got inside. I look around all the corners and all the seal areas but could not find any leak or crack that could cause this problem. So i looked on the bottom and disassemble the HID ballast to drain all the water out, vacuum and dry the inside up. I guess i have to order a brand new ballast now since the leak and water completely destroyed it.
My question here is have any one in this forum come across this problem ? What is the cause and the solution to resolve this !

Thank you very much and you guys have a wonderful weekend !

Maybe when the light was on and the box was hot, you went through a puddle and the water got sucked in through the drain hole? Similar to the water in the diff. There s a valve that let hot air out but when you go through the water, it sucks water it as it cool.
So you tried connecting everything back and it doesn't turn on now?

Hey Anthony, thanks for the reply. Yeah i drained everyhing out by the vacuum. It works now but my question is where or how did the water get into the assembly ? Where is the valve that lets hot air out you were talking about Anthony, can you please point it out where is it located on the assembly !
Thanks

Probably through the same drain hole. I don't think there's a check valve though.
If you really want to know, just dunk it in the water and see where it start bubbling. Don't recommend it though..
