My dealer said Lexus required a picture of the affected panels.

Got a call Monday to set up an appointment to drop the car Thursday. Apparently they have so many panels in house (Lexus of Memphis) that they need to install what they have to make room for the other stuff coming in.

Turns out, after inquiring, they are NOT just replacing the drivers door and dash. But instead they are doing all four doors plus dash now, then when the glove box, center console, and rear seat console panel (?) come in they're replacing those in a second visit.

I've had a new ES350 as a loaner for the last 4-5 days (not bad but a far cry from the LS). Guessing they'll finish up the first round today. Insane to get all those panels replaced free of charge. This service is incredible coming from a recent nightmare in dealing with Hyundai.

Default Interior Panels

Took my 2007 LS460 to the dealer today and they took pictures of four items specified in a letter i received the other day: Driver's Side Lower Instrument Panel, Console Box Assembly, Console Box Rear Panel, Glove Box Assembly. They take some pix and send them to corporate. Last year they replaced several other items, too. Was wondering if we all are have all the same items replace?

I had mine at the dealer the other day and they took pictures of the door panels, glove box, dash and console. I will post what Lexus decides to do but the SA noted they had already approved replacements for cars that were less discolored than mine. He said the wait time is typically 4 months before the parts come in.

Considering the interior bits in my 94 shows no signs of discoloring, I'd say that any signs of discoloring should warrant replacement.

Your 94 didn't use the vendor who supplied the bad material to the 07-10 LS460's. So it should be like showroom quality.

On a more positive note, I dropped my car off at the dealership this morning at 8am. Can't wait to get my car back with a new interior.

How long did you have to wait for replacement parts? mine is on order more than a month now

I believe I went in for assessment around the 3rd of December 2018. So it took roughly 5 weeks. Wouldn't hurt to check in with them and see what's going on.

I got mine back with doors and dash and it looks fantastic. I'll try to get some pics posted... hold on.

Here are a couple quick ones I snapped to send the GF. https://imgur.com/gallery/kZvlhrx I can get better ones later. Like with most, the drivers door panel was the worst by far.

Still waiting on glovebox and all console components to come in.

So what exactly did they move over from your old door panels? I'd imagine they're not also replacing stuff like the door handle and window switches.

They say they're replacing the entire door panels. I think it's all one assembly.

Alrighty! Here's my Lexus new interior story! Buckle up. Dropped my car off yesterday at 8am. Got the call to come pick her up around 4pm. Drove to the dealership, sat down with my service rep and he proceeded to pull the paperwork. As he was about to push the papers over for me to sign, he stops. He looks puzzled and says, "Hmmm, there are no parts charged to this order. Something is odd." He calls back to the shop and they told him exactly what he thought, they didn't read my ticket and took the car in for the interior inspection. Took all day to do that, again? To be honest, my rep was more pissed than me. For some reason, I wasn't upset. Luckily, my loaner car was still sitting there so I hopped in and left. Maybe today I'll get my new interior less glove box?

Sweet! I'll confirm by snapping some pics of any key wear-n-tear spots to see if everything is replaced with mine.
