Bad Door Hinge
Hello Everyone! I'm quite sure there are other threads on this but I'm sure theyre in the grave by now so just figured that I would share with everyone. I bought my LS in September and ever since I had bought it the front passenger door has been a PAIN to open and close (It opens and closes but does require quite a bit more force. So I decided to order a lexus OEM hinge off of ebay for a steal at $37 shipped. I read somewhere that its more common for the bottom one to go bad so thats why I only ordered the one, regardless I was able to replace the hinge today and the door open and closes like new. I was able to do it without taking the door off, however you're going to need alot of patience and a set of flex head ratcheting combo wrenches. Its a very very tight spot. You will need to have the hinge painted, for some reason I got impatient and just threw on the silver hinge and decided to call it a day! (Also you'll need someone to hold up the door).
