Default Sorry, I have a very dumb question.

Can anyone tell me how to make the trunk not fall on my head on slope or hill? I seem to have trouble make it stay. Or is it designed to not hold on slope? thanks !

The power trunk should not fall on your head on an incline. The mechanism holding it up must be broken. Does the power trunk work normally otherwise? Good luck and be safe!

yes, it works fine otherwise; it just won't hold on a slope. should i take it in for repair?

Definitely get it checked out, you don't want to lose your head, do you . I had this issue in an older car (a strong breeze would bring it crashing down), and the tensioning bar was not properly installed. With the power trunk, there must be a different type of mechanism. I think this should be relatively easy to fix.

First of all-no such thing as a dumb question!!
Secondly,I agree with comotiger, as the trunk should not easily close due to the car being on an incline.
It sounds as if something is mechanically failing, particularly, the tension bar/torsion rod.
Be careful and let us know what you find out.
