Default 2014 Headlight wiper cover

Yesterday when driving on the highway a semi in front of me lost a large blue tarp. I was unable to avoid running over it and lost my headlight washer cover on the right side. I installed a clear bra back in August and that protected the paint on the front. Has anyone had to replace this cover? Also I want the car inspected but the nearest Lexus dealership is an hour away. Do you think the local Toyota dealer can handle this? Any advice is helpful.

Thanks!

I am sure they should be able to fix it probably have to order the part from lexus. Don't think any toyotas have the same washer cover.

If it came off that easy bet you could order the part yourself and put it back in.

Test the headlight washer and confirm that the spray nozzle pops out and washes properly. It appears that the cover that attaches to the washer nozzle got dislodged. Should be an easy fix that the Toyota folks can handle provided the washer itself is working fine. Here's a link to the washer nozzle cover and costs $6.10.

I was washing my LS and I accidently pulled out the small spray nozzle with the mitt and it easily snapped back in.

Thanks for the responses. I called Toyota today and got an appointment for Thursday with the body shop. Soonest they could get me in.

comotiger, I've had the car 3 months so not sure how to test the headlight washer. Also not sure I want to mess with anything and potentially mess things up. Thanks alot for sending me that link. That was awesome!

You are welcome.
You turn on the headlight washer by pushing the button on the dash behind the turn indicator stalk (refer to the owner's manual). It's next to the buttons that change the brightness of the dash display. Nothing will go wrong; the washer nozzle is meant to squirt water onto the headlight and all the stuff inside the bumper is designed to tolerate moisture. So no worries if some of that water flows back into the hole where the nozzle cover should be. You can also keep a cloth handy to prevent any flow back in case you are concerned. Have someone else push the button (with the ignition on) while you check for proper operation.
