Default AC Compressor Removal?

I started unbolting a nut off the compressor and realized I might not have enough room to pull it off. I been trying to call lexus and see if you would have to take the subframe off to take it off?

Has anyone ever replaced their A/C compressor or know the steps?

Not to come off sounding like a D!@k...... Why don't you take the car back to the dealer who gave you a warrantee?? Even if you have to flat bed the car back to their mechanic (or your local shop) I feel you will come out ahead instead of doing this job yourself.
This is a job for an experienced shop with the proper recovery and recharge equipment.

I totally understand where you are coming from. I would if it was a reputable dealership or Lexus themselves. But this was a family owned small used car dealership 2 hours away. So I can only assume they would not replace with OEM/Quality parts. I already spoke to them and they were pretty nice about it. They agreed to pay for my parts. I have always worked on my cars from oil changes to timing belts. I believe if a person is a car enthusiast, they should also know how to turn a wrench and be able to work on their own cars if necessary.

Anyways..... after lots of patients, I was able to get that compressor out of there. That was a PITA!!! Working in small and tight spaces. Just waiting for the parts and ill be on my way!

Thumbs up for DIY and good luck but if your LS is still under warranty I (personally) would take it back to the dealer and let it deal with the headache. This sounds like a job for the pros. After all you paid for the extended warranty so take advantage of it.
