Anyone else prefer the 07-12 gauges vs new?

Going off topic, I HATE the new digital guages on cars these days. Bring me back the 80s and 90s Mercedes gauges any day of the week over a fake, digital screen the new ones have. I don't care how high resolution the display is.
Lol yes it's pretty cool. Sort of does the reverse when you turn the car off. I love all these little details!

I get your point about digital guages, I do think a proper set does look classier and perhaps can show off more of the manufacturer craftsmanship. But I do get them. Echoing what SW15LS said, it is nice that the digital panel allows more flexibility in terms of info display. It would be nice to have a nav centered on there (like some Audis) and to have night vision there (ie S-class) and also show bigger guages when you don't need the extra info. Oh well can't have it all, right?

Slipped right into my 2014 LS from my LS430 and never gave the gauges a second thought.

I think the LS400 gauges with the non italicized font looks dated. I actually think I like the LS430 gauges with the red needles the most, or the 07-12 ones. Funny how all of our opinions are wildly different.

Also, I would like to add that "gauges" is a word I always misspell....and I was an English major haha.

One thing I preferred about the gauges on the LS400 and my 13 GS350 was the lens being angled back at the bottom not back at the top like the lens is on the LS430 and the LS460. That keeps the lens from getting dusty.

If you don't know what I mean, the lens on the 430 and 460 is angled this way / while on the 400 and on my GS it was this way \
