Default Waze Integration into Navigation

Is there any way that Waze can be integrated into the NAV system? I'm thinking there is no way this is possible. The only solution may be if the navigation system is taken out and replaced with a small tablet. Waze is the best navigation tool out there, and it would be great if it could be somehow integrated into the car.

There are some fairly exotic devices that will integrate a smart phone into the display and audio systems. Do some searches and you should find a few threads along with links to the vendors sites. Can be pricey ($2K or so) but they boast the integration you may be seeking.

Try this one to start:

A low cost cell phone mount is another way to go and allow Waze to use the audio via BT. Works well enough but is not integrated.......

That's great information. Thank you! The link that you listed has a unit for only $400. That could be the way to go.

I used the Vaistech as well. Search youtube for CJITTY and you'll see my demo videos with Waze. I also have a full write up in the DIY/FAQ section of this forum

Default Waze integration

I have been trying to solve the same problem. I have a 2007 w/o parking assist. Tried using ivic d5 and it caused lines across the screen. Vaistech no longer supports or recommends this unit. Not certain why one can't find a system that works Always wondered if one could tap into the DVD feed/line and just unlock the nav lock using ULM-51. Any solutions would be deeply appreciated.

I had the same vertical lines with Self Parking feature but the issue (to me) was quite exaggerated. All I had to do was select the IVIC as the source, let it boot for that second and then go back to the other source (Radio, CD, DVD, etc) and the lines would be gone once I hit the AUDIO button next to Nav screen. Annoying..yes..a reason not to buy one, absolutely NOT

Other issue though is the loss of back up camera if you don't have parking assist.

Looks like Beatsonic has a solution for Apple devices. Already in contact with them to get all the questions answered. Will probably move forward on it.
