Default Transmission fluid change interval

I was told that the transmission in my 2007 LS460 never needed a fluid change. Then they changed it to 120k. Now my service rep is telling me it needs changed at 60K. Just wondering what everyone else is doing. I have 77k on the car now and didn't have it done at 60 because I didn't know any better. Is there a right answer? I am going to get it done now since its almost 10 years old and my trans. has a very very slight jerk at times, especially at low speed. All replies appreciated.

Thanks,
hms09

All I can tell you is that in every market in the world except the US, the interval is 96k kms or 60k miles. I did mine at the Toyota dealer and they charged me 149 bucks.

Change it. Did mine at 75k and it looked like crap. Now up to about 135k and probably going to do it again soon. Lexus charged me $220 about 4 years ago after haggling with them. $150 from Toyota is a fantastic deal.

Yes, I am going to get it done next week. Lexus is charging $289.95.
Thanks for the replies.

I changed mine out at 74,000 miles. The fluid looked so bad I decide to drop the pan and change the filter (and kind of take a look around). The magnets were free of metal. I've done it again since at around 115,000 miles - I probably won't do it again until I have 50,000 miles on the fluid next time - because the fluid looked so clean after that initial change.

Will be doing mine at 60k. GX has same WS fluid. Changed it three time within last 141k mils. Cheap insurance in my mind. Wonder why Lexus/Toyota sells WS as 'lifetime'. A debate for another time.......

60k miles. Ask ANY service guy (Lex or indie) about lifetime fluids. You'll get a derisive snort in response.
