Default Wheel fitment question

Sorry to hear a dead horse about wheel fitment. Did some searching but couldn't fit an answer.

2008 LS460. Would 22x9 +35 offset 5x120 wheels with 285/40/22 tires fit without rubbing? I'd prefer staggered obviously but can't find any in my price range. Car is lowered on coilovers. Thanks,

Jonny

Did you see the wheel and tire sticky thread? Tons of actual examples that work with pics including 20s, 21s and 22s.

Here is the link https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...ls-thread.html

You mentioned 22 inch tires on a 20 inch wheel. Assume that's a typo on your part so not sure what you are trying to do. 20s or 22s.

I've read through that thread but didn't see anyone who had that size tire. In fact, that is the thread that helped me choose the wheels I want. And yes, sorry that was a typo. Fat thumbs!

Still don't know if you want 22s or 20s. But that tire size you mentioned is a no go..especially with a 35 offset...it wont clear inner control arm. I had 35 offset on 9 inch wheel and 265/30/22 rubbed on upper control arm up front
..it's not even close to the overall diameter of the original oem wheels. If 22s..the safest combo to avoid issues is 22x9 front with 20 to 30 offset 255/30/22 size and rears 22x10.5 35 to 40 offset with 295/25/22 if you use the proper plus sizing formulas like most of us have

Sorry, they are 22's. I fixed my original post. The wheels aren't staggered unfortunately and are 22x9 with 35 offset. What tire size would you recommend instead for this size/offset? The sale comes with those other tires but I can pull them off and replace them with a different size. I appreciate your help, thank you.

40s way too thick for you.. 30s is where you want to be. I wouldn't ever go down to a 25, but some do...

22x9 with 35 offset is not ideal at all. That front wheel is going to be very tucked in the fender . That tire size is wayyyy off. Not sure if you read my prior post but you need a wheel with an offset of 20 to 30 mm offset and correct tire size is 255/30/22..you can go with a 265/30/22 if you run the offset range i mentioned.

Hey everyone,

Done a fair amount of searching in the Wheel Fitment Q&A thread and was not able to find an answer to my question

I’m trying to run a set of 18x7.5 +45 Work CR Kai on my 2002 GS430 - Currently have adjustable front UCA & rear LCA as well as adjustable traction & toe arms, have yet to install coils.

The guy selling the wheels recommended 20mm hub centric spacers for my model

Wondering if I will have any fender rubbing/clearance issues with the those wheels after I install coils (not planning on fully slamming but lowering with some clearance), was not able to find nearly anyone running that +45 offset

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help

I hope you didn't buy 7.5" wide wheels...those are tiny!

Hi,
Simple question, but I haven't found the answer anywhere, nor could the dealer tell me the answer (which is weird): what is the offset of the OEM 17" rims for the 235/45/R17 tires on the 2nd gen GS? I've got 17x8 rims (I think that the OEM wheels are also x8) with I think 40mm offset, but it drives veeeeery bad and they trash the suspension all the time. Alignment is done many times. I suspect the offset may be wrong, but they barely clear the struts and just right for the fenders, so the offset can not be off by much, otherwise it would hit something.

I have 265/30/22 tires on my 22x9 rims. Those are in the front and with a +32 offset. I have a staggered setup. I have a 22x9 as my spare tire also and I had to put it on one time in the rear and it just didn't look right since it sat in so much.
