My next car.....
Yes indeed
Early critics of the LS400 and 430 - as lovely as their designs are - certainly made similar remarks about a lack of originality. IMHO, the 4th gen LS came into its own, especially with the new grille (for better or worse). And like I said earlier, I would consider the G90, only as a CPO, but that's just me.
To the poster who asked if it's available in AWD...... Yes it is......and also 3 engine choices.
I've said it before on other Hyundai/Kia related topics, but I know a variety of family and friends who own numerous Elantras, Accents, Santa Fe's Tucsons and Sedona's a Souls. Not one of them has had a single issue. JD Power and other sources have rated them very high (top 5 I believe), for reliability and initial quality.
I still believe that Hyundai and Kia will be what the Japanese were decades ago.......A force to be reckoned with when everyone in the industry doubted what they could achieve.

Is the warranty transferable between owners?
Yes, providing the car is under five years old at the time of the sale. The balance of the warranty goes to the new owner, subject to servicing having been carried out at the recommended intervals.

Yes. If it were done by the dealer, no issues, as it's "in the system". If done by owner or independents, then yeah I'd ask for service records, especially if it meant the difference between getting the warranty or not. I find that owners of vehicles like these and ours, are fairly meticulous and having these available in the first 5 years of ownership wouldn't be an issue. The only services required in that short of time would likely only be oil changes and maybe a few filters.
I'm going to post my Hyundai opinion once again. This input comes from a design engineer on the inside. I worked in design for Toyota for 5 years. And I loved it. I wish I could have stayed ... but The Gift. I worked for Hyundai for 7 years after working for Toyota. In 7 years, I never spent 1 thin dime on one of their vehicles.
It took me about 4 years post-Hyundai to learn how to do work again. There was a lot of liquor and shock therapy to get back to where I am now. It's been a long hard road to recovery, but I can stand here now and say, "Hello, my name is 7milesout, and I am a fully recovered former Hyundai engineer."
You guys and your family can like Hyundai all you want, more power to you. And I hope it all works out OK. But there's a reason why Hyundai would choose to not put their symbol on the front of one of their vehicles. I don't believe Toyota would ever do such a thing. And, even though I will admit that Hyundai vehicles are improving, they are generations behind Toyota. Beauty is only skin deep. The devil is in the details. It's what underneath the skin that counts. The Toyota mindset is "fo' real" into "what is best for our customers." And that goes for safety, reliability, value (what makes a car worth more when selling it used). They really really consider those things. And I just skim the surface here.
I spent long weeks at the Toyota plant in Georgetown, KY, and Cambridge, ON. They are amazing places. They ACHIEVE quality. They don't just try.
I worked AT the Hyundai / Kia plants in Montgomery, AL & Westpoint, GA. I base my opinions on the difference. But, for legal reasons, I'm not going to go into detail some of the things that really happen. The difference in mindset is HUGE. I would not have guessed that when I was changing jobs from Toyota to Hyundai.
I could go on, but this is bringing back really bad memories. Gotta go find my liquor bottle now.
