Default Front seat cooling filter

I notice that I am not getting much if any cool air out of the front seats when I have that feature on. I assume that the filter needs to be changed in my '08 LS. The Lexus bible says to see a Lexus dealer to have that done. I want to know where that filter is and if I can buy it and install it myself. Tommy

The filter is pretty easy to access once you remove the four bolts holding your seat down. I've removed and cleaned mine. Didn't seem to help too much though. I find the biggest effect on the seat cooling and feeling it is the ambient temperature in the car.

To get the most cooling effect on the seats, you need to turn your auto climate control off and go into max cooling mode. There is no equipments that creates the cool air just for the seats. The air is taken from the same source as the rest of the car. The fan under the seat just boosts the air flow. Have the car set to max cool and the a/c will get cold and you final freeze your nuts off !

Indeed, the fan just blows whatever air is under your seat up into the seat vents. So having the mode set to feet or face/feet will help.
