2009 Lexus LS460
No Mark Levinson stereo or air ride. Looks like the base version. Picked this gem up with 30500 miles with perfect maintenance history. Starfire Pearl. Gorgous, drives amazing and stereo sounds great for base system.

Default Joining the family with a 2010 LS460L awd

After having a newborn, I decided to to get rid of my car debt. Sold my IS350 and now selling my 2017 tundra pro. I was able to find a one owner 2010 lwb awd with all the options except the executive seating. All records and amazing condition! Made a day trip from NC to VA to pickup from the seller (5.5 hrs each way). The only upgrade I am looking to do are the F sport or sport rims... hoping to find some soon.
Loved this forum during my car search.

Default My first Lexus

Traded my 2011 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited and I bought my first Lexus yesterday. This has to be one of the best vehicle purchases I've ever made. I loved my Jeep for all sorts of reasons, and I test drove a lot of different vehicles before settling on the LS460L.

I bought the car yesterday, and I have 4 issues that I've found - 1) When I brake the entire car shakes. 2) The roof trim on both sides is peeling. 3) The heated/vented seat button won't click into the down position. 4) A couple of the seat movements are stuck so the seat doesn't move fully.

Anyone able to help or point me in the right direction to find input on these issues?

Shaking car - you need to replace your OEM rotors with some aftermarket ones. The shudder/shake is a function of "run out" (aka warped) and the OEM rotors on these vehicles are notorious for it.

Several here have had great success with the following combination (which you can order via RockAuto.com and includes new hardware) - good luck and welcome to your new-to-you LS!
  • Centric Premium rotors - treated
  • Centric Posi-quiet premium pads

Hey guys! First I just want to say I am so thankful for this sight. I have been lurking on here for about 4 years when I inherited my first car for 300 bucks which as a 97 Lexus es. Ran like a dream 240k miles and I would still have it if I wasn’t for a accident. I fell in love with the Lexus brand and haven’t looked back since.

After saving and sacrificing for two years I just purchased a 2010 Ls 460 with the sport package with 90k miles. Got a really good deal all around a almost factory like warranty untill 150k miles. Anything thing you guys recommend I check out first? The Carfax/Lexus driver report came back clean and the car was very well maintained. I observed the air shocks and they look on great shape but look still factory. No suspension issues, speaking, noise and it’s an amazing ride. Wouldn’t think this car would be his fast haha. Anyways thanks for all the advice and knowledge and I plan to be a active member here.

2014 LS 460L AWD, cashmere, parchment, ultra lux, 10061 miles. Need to look up extended warranty options. Need time vs miles.

2014 L, AWD, 10,074 miles. Everything except the Executive seat. Dealer photos are very poor so the first one is pulled off the web. Same color, length and AWD. Won't pick up until Sept.

I bought this back in March but never posted photos. 2015 LS-460 Crafted AWD with only 8k miles and 3 years remain of original 4 year warranty--practically a new car. Just had its 10k miles service and warranty work on the brakes and sunroof.

Derrick,
Congrats on your nice ride. We need an Idaho or NW meet someday. I have a house 250 miles east of you but prefer to be rather vague on the town. OPSEC stuff while I'm overseas. But I'm trying to figure out how Peterson or Larry H Miller would work out for a home dealership. About the same either way I guess except when I'm traveling to see family in WA and OR then I drive through Boise. Need me some Baja Fresh. One of those things when I was stationed in SoCal. Probably just the salsa. LOL Cheers and enjoy the ride.

Congrats to all of the previous posters. Still hard for me to believe I'm getting one of these. Won't settle in my head until I'm actually driving it and even then I'll me in a dream. That first drive of 2500 miles to bring her home should give me a great idea of what she's all about. I need to figure a route that takes me through the mountains of CO. Kind of out of the way I guess but old stomping grounds none the less. Party on Garth, my world.
