I own a 2015 Lexus LS 460 F Sport and hear the Whining noise at low speeds. I see there are quite a few people that have this problem. What needs to be done is to file a Class Action Lawsuit against Toyota/Lexus with ( Class Action.org.) It won't hurt to try.

3 months old, but any traction on this one ? Did you ever look into this further ?
Well, there is a TSB for low speed transmission whine (L-SB-0103-14, replace the transmission/engine mount) and it does get rid of most of the noise. The "diesel" noise is the fuel pump and they really don't want to replace those because 50% of the time the replacement is just as noisy. Totally unacceptable in my opinion.
I'm getting all 3 replaced this week.. let's see if I notice a difference.
2014 LS 460 transmission whine at idle and when reving engine
Bought the car with 96k miles. Notice transmission whine when outside of car and when cold. Also noticed whine when in the car and reving engine with car in park. Sounds like a hydraulic whine. Probably the pump. Car drives fine but the whine can be annoying at times. Brought it in to Lexus and Toyota with aftermarket warranty. Both said its normal.

Get the mounts changed it will lessen the whine...

Thanks for the reply. I don't have a problem getting mounts replaced but the whine most notable when in park and revving the engine (or at idle when cold). This has to be the hydraulic pump vs . alignment problem associated with mounts. Does that make sense ?
