For 2016, the multimedia system is enhanced with minute changes that help usability considerably. Drivers are now able to display the map across all 12.3-inches of the navigation screen and enjoy updated graphics. For convenience, menu shortcuts have been added to the side of the screen for quick access to functions like Audio, Navigation, Phone, Climate, etc. Enhanced voice recognition capabilities will help users when commands are not understood by the system. In addition, the Remote Touch Interface now has “enter” and “back” buttons to help the driver navigate the multimedia screen.
The 2016 LS also receives body adhesive in more areas for enhanced body rigidity and handling. Runflat summer tires are now available as a convenient option for LS gas models.
With Lexus Enform Service Connect, new for 2016, the LS can tell you what it needs, and when. Information includes maintenance alerts, warning light notifications and a vehicle health report. Use the MyLexusandBeyond mobile app (for iOS devices) or LexusDrivers.com website to set push-reminders and alerts for maintenance and service issues including, for example, required maintenance warning light will alert you and your dealer of a specific factory recommended maintenance for a specific maintenance interval.

Very interesting, and great updates in most areas. I would love that navigation setup.
The one "enhancement" I find surprising is the runflat option. Runflat technology has come a long way, but it still seems like a suboptimal choice for an LS. Heck, I have summer non-runflat tires on my car (it's what happens when you buy a car on the West Coast), which - in theory, with all else equal - should ride better than runflats, and my "winter" set (Michelin Primacy all-seasons, which used to be my summer set on the 460) makes the car ride so much better.
Here's to hoping that everyone will upgrade to the 2016 LS, and the 2013 models will utterly flood the market, forcing the older models to plummet in price!
Okay, so maybe most of you folks aren't hoping a price plummet (since you already own the car), but those shopping certainly are

Haha, I'm not sure thats going to happen.
One thing I did notice is the LS being lower volume nowadays than it used to be has resulted in ,such fewer pre owned LSs on the lots. Used to be 3 years old you would find a ton of nice LS's to choose from, not as much anymore.
Runflat tires as standard equipment is all about losing the spare for weight/fuel savings. As we know, LS has always had full-sized spare with matching rim. That's a LOT of weight to haul around for no good reason (says the EPA). I'm a bit surprised Lexus didn't go through the intermediate stage of a donut spare before whacking it entirely (like non-M BMWs). Wonder how and if they're "encouraging" RFT adoption by playing pricing games.
I cant WAIT for the 2017 LS500 to come out! hopefully the price of the 2010-2012s will freefall so ill be able to afford one finally lol! seems like the 2010-2012s are the sweet spot for these ones. could be wrong but that's just a general observation of mine.
atleast there are SOME upgrades to the 2016, considering it will be the last Ls460.
Apparently there are SOME changes to the 2016 LS...
LS prices never really free fall. And I expect the next LS to be considerably more aggressive in look and execution, which might help 460 resale stay strong with displaced owners.
