You are a brave man. I took one of my dogs in the car (65 lbs) once as she needed to see the vet and my wife had the van. Was concerned the whole time about window tint and door panels getting scratched, as well as her having a little accident in the back seat.
Bailey appears to be an Australian Silky? Nice dogs. We had a couple of the Australian's on the dock in Pearl Harbor. Our son in HI has an Australian Silky. Ziggy

When we adopted Bailey, the owner said he was a Yorkie. But my wife and I always felt like he was more Silky. Either way he is a terrific family member.
I took my dog with us on a trip once - she's a boxer - not the most travel friendly pet, all she would have to do is put her paw on the center arm rest and I'd be replacing that right after. We managed to keep her in the backseat and we had some sort of dog cover for the seat, it worked out ok.
And R Z, it could have been a lot worse, I was expecting something else left behind. Lol.

Funny you say that, as I read the initial title of the thread and then saw the dog, I was like "awww mannnn...!
Nothing a shop vac cant address!
Now, although I don't have a dog, I have a 5 year old daughter who, though I try to not have her eat in the car, sometimes its just unavoidable. And there are times..I don't know...it seems like she feels as though she needs to share her food with the carpet as well..
