Exclamation LS460 AC Pulley suddenly snapped off.

Good Morning Everyone,
I have been an avid user of the CL forums for some time now, everything I ever needed to know about my cars I have been able to find..(Thus never needing an account)...till last night I was driving into my driveway when suddenly the AC got warm.....I parked and while idling i heard a snap and clunk...I immediately shut off the car. The engine before this moment had never made any noises.

I live in the UAE so it was 117 here but I have a GCC spec (Spec for the Region) car.
From what I can see the AC pulley must have ceased and came off violently, what I don't understand is what the black "L" shaped arm is with a bushing in the middle seems to far from the radiator to be the mount, is attached to what i assume is oil sensor but I can't figure out what it is.

The vehicle has been taken to a reputable mechanic (I don't speak arabic is I don't know his diagnosis and my car dealer friend that was with me speaks very little english but said everything will be ok, and hopefully be fixed by tomorrow, but I also want to know what is being fixed.

Can someone take a picture of your LS460 front side of engine showing the serpentine belt or does some one know what that is? anyone willing to share insight please.

Check out this thread; it includes a picture for comparison and the belt path:

The A/C compressor resides on the lower right side of the path which appears to be what you've pictured. It surprises me the pulley broke free; I would have expected the belt to break first. Good luck on the fix.

Oh, and the arm with the bushing you asked about is the lower mount for the "Y" pipe assembly which is dismounted to access the belt.
