Automatic wipers don't work
I have a 2011. When I put the wipers in auto, they act like intermittent wipers. I am the second owner, car was a previous lease return. I have read somewhere that people did not like the auto wipers and disconnected wiring at the control module or at the window sensor. Could this be my problem too? I believe auto wipers is standard right?

Are they truly intermittent? They can act intermittent depending on the sensitivity you have them at, speed, and the amount of rain. One good way to test them would be to run the hose and see what they do. I have a 2007, but on this car, the stalk has both auto and intermittent stops on the stalks so I'm not sure if that's the case with the 2011's. Obviously being new to this car, I'm not sure how you can "unplug" a harness and still have the wipers still work. Coming from the Audi world, unplugging anything would just make the car unhappy and the wipers wouldn't function so I'm not sure if that's the case with Lexus.
I do find it weird and utterly stupid that you can turn the car off with the wipers half way and they'll freeze there. On my Audi the wipers would always go down. It was impossible to get them to freeze halfway unless you manually put them in service mode.
