DIY waterpump?

Last night I ordered a new water pump, upper and lower rad hoses and belt. Now I'm thinking I should have ordered a new tensioner. Any thoughts on replacing the tensioner? Also, can you remove the lower coolant hose from the radiator from the top or do you have to remove the undercover shield and get to it from underneath the car? I'm getting old and hate crawling underneath the car - I did my 27th oil change on this car today and realized the mind is willing but the body not so much.

Thanks all of you that contributed.
i changed the alternator, water pump , serpentine belt and tensioner.
at 180,000 miles I’m not tearing this apart again
getting the tensioner off is easier if you antiseize the Hex head (allen )
i let it sit and what was once a stubborn mule became easy
the radiator was an unpleasant surprise but I saved a catastrophic event for it was about to go.
tips on the pulley .
its tough to wedge anything in there.
after a half hour of trying different devices I settled on a long angled closed end .
i wedged it in and created a lever to resist the spinning.
this job is time consuming the first time I could do it in two hours next time.
its easy if you are patient .
also anti seized all bolts for the next guy.
finally the torque specs were great I
