Angry Accelerator peddle

When maneuvering our LS forward or back, we hear a BONG sound as if you were plucking a violin. The Lexus dealer says it's due to the fact that the accelerator peddle is designed differently from previous versions. Anyone else notice this? Why should we be satisfied with an LS460 that makes constant noises!!!

That's the new "Piano String Anti-Unintended Acceleration Indicator" (PSAUAI) safety alert system indicator. It indicates 0 throttle application. I think it's wonderful. I asked my dealer if they could make it twice as loud.

Outside of the dealer giving you some feedback that is valueless, did they not indicate that it is not normal, and what they could do to remedy? Sounds like Hyundai level service, but I don't know the whole story.

More info needed. I don't associate "bong" with a violin, so the sound you describe may not be accurate (at least for me). I will echo 7milesout and his comment about the level of service and advice you are getting from the dealer. This is the first time I've heard of a noisy pedal. I wonder if what you're describing is the ticking pinging noise of the brakes, particularly when manoeuvering around. Mine does that occasionally.
