HID / low beam bulb question
Yes I searched.
All the threads out there seem to say "buy Phillips OEM" bulbs, but then others say those are cheap and won't last as long. That seems awfully easy (and cheap) because I seem to recall HIDs being over $100 each for just the bulb. Am I missing something?
Right low beam in my 2007 LS460 is out, and I need to buy some replacements (I'll probably have the dealer do the labor but I'm not buying the parts there).
Can anyone point me to a list of what my options are? Do I need to worry about wattage? Color temp? Brand? This really shouldn't be so hard to find...

Based on recommendations here on CL, I went with the Morimotos from this site:

They are very reasonably priced. I went with 5k color and they look AMAZING. I've had them installed for 4 months or so. They come highly recommended from numerous forums and seem to be the way to go. So far so good.
Color wise, 5k projects a nice "true white" color. 6K will look blue and the 4k range will look more yellow. 5k is perfect.
