Doing x5000 mile service tire rotation
I am in the middle of doing a 35000 mile service of my LS460 AWD. The service manual says to do a tire rotation. I can tell that the tires have never been rotated. The current tires have about 6k miles on them and the original spare is still in the truck,
Should I rotate the tires? The spare is Bridgestone while the tires on the car are Michelins.
I just purchase the car this year and have put 5k miles on it.
Thanks,
Terry

I don't rotate my tires, but if you do, do not include the spare since it is a different make than the tires on the car.

Rotate your tires every 3-5000 miles. It will greatly reduce premature tire wear, cupping and feathering which will result in noisy tires as they wear.
ANY discount tire co. will rotate your tires for free EVEN if you did not buy them from them.
Rotate front to back, NEVER pull the spare out.

I rotate and balance my Michelins Privacy's every 5000 miles at Costco. If it's not glass smooth I take it back and have it done over (have only done that a couple of times in 10 years or so). With nitrogen, I also have never had a loss of tire pressure between the 5000 mile service. Couldn't be happier.
