Sigh... this thread should be locked. To the OP, assuming your trying to "cheat your milage on the car", that is very illegal in most states.
Your best bet would be be buy a 2nd one on ebay or something.... use that, and swap them.

That is pretty sad indeed if that is the case. I just liked not seeing the mileage on my LX in spite of it having absurdly low mileage for the year. And while there are no doubt ways to tamper with the odometer, it is both a federal crime and pretty silly considering it is not like Ferraris we are talking about here. Not to say that a newer one that cost someone in excess of $70,000 is cheap.
While I am dreading hitting 100,000 miles, (still have almost 7000 miles to go) that mileage is truly an arbitrary one and I would way rather have a 460 with 99,999 miles, a complete service history and no accident history than one with 50,000 miles and the inverse.

As you could guess, when he turned in his lease, it had bearly any miles on the car, way under his limits...
I am not sure in modern cars if this can be done any more but, it is very illegal in the US to do in most states.
With a quick look on ebay, one could find a under 120K miles odometer for a LS460 for a few hundred (out of a totaled car), I could see someone who has a car with 200K+ on it doing something like this.... it's sad but true. I would hope there is some security protection on modern ones so this could not be possable.
As we all know...a LS460 with 90K is worth a lot more than one with 250K..
