I searched the Internet and this forum, but couldn't find anything useful. I had a few situations when I had to cancel parallel parking assistant just because I was pretty sure that crash will come if my car moves one more inch.

Did someone experience any accidents using self-parking feature? I'm talking about parallel parking only (other mode doesn't concern me since it seems to work perfectly).

 

I have never had it bump another car. I have always assumed that if it will start the process, it will finish. I've used it less than 10 times so my sample size is pretty small.

I find that most of the time when I've already made a parking place decision that it's very hard to get it to start. I have had much better luck hitting the button, pulling forward slowly and waiting for the beep.

I have used it a few times. To me it is a novelty gee whiz show off kind of feature. I rarely ever have to park parallel and just usually get paranoid of bumper destroyers in front and back where I park, so I just valet if I can lol. But, when I used it for normal back in parking or parallel, it works flawlessly if you give it a good heads start by positioning the car just before letting it take over..if that makes sense

 

I passed on it on my Ls.
When I test drove I tried the parking system a few times. It did work well BUT
By the time I programmed the parking system I could have made 2 or 3 attempts at parking it on my own
