18.3 MPG in city. Is this below normal?
I just went through a full tank of premium (my first) and really drove like a granny. Not much stop and go traffic but not all highway either. I have a pristine 2007 L model. From what I gather on the forum, I've seen people getting 20+ miles per gallon in the city and 145,000 MPG on the freeway. (slight exaggeration). Should I be happy with around 18? That's actually a little worse than my old 2002 Q45 V8.
Thanks,

See that's what I'm talking about. cerbum gets 20-22 in non-highway. But it sounds pretty normal for my 18-19 so I'll not worry about it. I'm still driving the car very deliberately without too many sudden starts and stops. This car just calls for the smoothest ride possible. No herky jerkies.
I'm getting about 17 to 19 now with winter here. CO has a nanny-gate law that mandates all front-range counties use ethanol in the fuel...greenies don'cha know.
This always lowers the MPG by about 2 to 3 MPG during the winter months.
Summer months yield 19 to 21 around town.
Oh, and I usually use Regular, 85 octane. We can get away with it at 5,000+ feet elevation.
