I am not an electricity engineer or anything, but you may use lower wattage bulbs than the standard but if you use higher wattage bulb, can cause burnout of the light bulbs(over heat).
can someone explain why is it ok to use 51 watt halogen and only 35 watt for HID? Now they also have high wattage LED.
Halogen uses a filament in the bulb and HID uses electric current to excite gas inside of bulb to create the light. Hids take less wattage to create more lumens of light than a halogen bulb will..there is a way more scientific explanation but this is the cliff note version. Hids burn much cooler and more efficient than halogen as well
