Default Malfunction or normal?

I have some questions about LS 460. I'm not very sure if it's normal or something is wrong. If it's wrong, what should I look for?

1. On my RX (as well as all the other cars I had) lights flash once when alarm is on, and lights flash twice when alarm is off (lights flash 3 or 4 times if alarm was triggered when turning it off). However, lights always flash 6 times on my LS when turning off the alarm (when I say this, I mean touching door handle with smart entry card in my pocket, since I don't use fob)

2. When car is locked, I can open trunk by touching its button (all the doors remain locked). However, when car is unlocked and engine is running, the only way to open trunk is using a button inside the car. I just can't open it outside.

3. When 4 zone climate control was on (green light on "4 zone" button), I was still able to control all the "zones" using driver's climate buttons. However, when my girlfriend clicked something on climate menu, the only way to control all 4 zones is turn off "4 zone" button. How can I control all the zones again without turning off 4 zone mode?

Any comments?

It sounds like at least 1 and 2 are part of the personalized settings (although 6 flashes seem excessive).

I don't know about #3 (except I don't let my wife touch anything on the car )

I don’t know why yours flashes six times maybe it is the smart card, but with the key fob only flash twice prior to entry touching the door.

You can use the outside ‘Trunk Button’ located above the license plate

vs. using the one inside the car to open the trunk when car is unlocked and engine is running.

In short you can’t. Your climate control is working as designed. When someone changes the temp in their zone, they are now in control of the zone he/she is sitting in. To override their control you will have to press the "4 zone" button” see below.

Default Malfunction or Normal

When locking door with button on door handle, I get a beep. Have never noticed the lights flash. Then it could be the settings. I changed none upon purchase. I chose to go with factory defaults.

Tee, thanks for your comments.

About the button above the license plate - I actually was talking about THIS button (sorry if my post wasn't clear). If I touch it when car ic locked, trunk can be opened. If I touch it when car is unlocked, trunk can't be opened, and I need to use button inside the car.

As for 4 zone control, yes, I see that 4 znones could not be controlled using driver's side climate button if "4-zone" mode is enabled, but I was able to do that for over a month! Until my girlfriend clicked something.

I had multiple flashes when I had a problem with one of my door actuators..it seemed as if my tint installer bunched up the wires near the cables causing the problem but once the door panel was put back on properly. .the door locks worked and back to two flashes..not sure if you may have an issue like this but just a thought

Well, the alarm works properly (tested twice) and door lights work properly as well. But thanks for suggestions.
