Does anyone know where the exact location of the VIN # on the rear trunk lid? I can't seem to find it. I am just curious because the rear trunk lines don't line up and seller said that there were no accidents involved with vehicle and everything is original. I ran the carfax and it looked clean. Thanks.

 

It is under the black liner beneath the trunk lid. Seems that the trunk gap to the fenders alignment is a common problem, I have it on my 08 and saw it on a brand new 2014.

I'm finding that CARFAX really isn't worth much. No one really knows 'who' is supposed to input the data. Most body shops don't bother to screw with it unless they have an ulterior motive.

 

No kidding, I guess it's a hit or miss type deal.
