Default TPMS Sensors show "CHECKING" longer than usual lately

Ok, searched around but I couldn't really find anything on this particular issue.

I start the car and the TPMS shows 3 out of the 5 sensors PSI level. 2 of the sensors show "CHECKING" and as I start to drive, one of them eventually displays the PSI but one still hangs back for another 10 to 15 minutes and finally displays. Although today, I was driving and my check TPMS came on. I got to my destination and turned off the car. When I started back up, they all finally displayed, but same thing..the last two took their sweet azz time to show level and the error went away.

I am guessing the battery in those two sensors are getting weaker by the day and not putting out enough power for the receiver to pick them up right away? When I was adjusting the air pressure, it took them a lot longer to update with the new level vs the others. Actually taking over 5 to 10 minutes. Am I looking at weak batteries here? Luckily replacement TPMS sensors are pretty cheap on ebay but wondering if anyone else had this issue and how did you resolve?

CJITTY,

Sounds like you are experiencing sensor battery end-of-life. We had a discussion a couple of years ago, and you were a part of that discussion, that sort of addressed TPMS sensor battery life.

I actually tried looking for this and my search skills failed me..thanks for keeping me straight! ! I am pretty sure the sensors are nearing end of life. The ones on my 600 22" wheels are actually from my 2007 460..so that is about 6 years
