Default dont know what to do

so i have a 2010 ls with an extended warranty, i took it into the dealer and they found 2 problems, brake actuator and the 2 rear struts needed to be replaced(i knew they didnt feel right and made a bunch of noise). they told me that since the parts cost so much they needed to get approval from the warranty department, the warranty department concluded the brake actuator needed to be replaced but not the rear struts, because they didnt feel or hear the problem.......theres clearly a problem especially when the master tech is the one who said they needed to be replaced. i call lexus consumer affairs and after never calling me back like they said they would i called them again, 1st the guy is telling me that my car isnt covered then calls me back and says sry it is covered but theres nothing we can do.......any advice at all???? my car sound like a hammer is pounding under the rear end of the car any time i hit a bump......any bump!

If its a Lexus extended warranty they can replace it if they can reproduce the problem. Its frustrating. I have an 07 with the extended Lexus warranty and went through hell trying to get a vibration problem resolved because the mechanics at Bell Lexus couldn't put a door panel on let alone diagnose a vibration problem. The issue for me came when they " couldn't throw parts at the car" trying to fix it. The extended warranty only allows to replace on thing to fix the issue. If they replace something and the problem is still there then they are on the hook because Lexus will not repair anything on that issue with another part unless there is another issue. They maybe hesitant because the tech is not 100% sure its the strut

Lexus Master Tech here, both the brake actuators and rear shocks have problems. I have done both jobs (on different cars) within the last month alone. Does your vehicle have air suspension, or is it regular coil springs?

Glad to have you in the club. What symptoms should you look for if the brake actuator is defective?

Default what to do

First, I think I would take it to another dealer. Maybe they can decide that it needs replacing.

noise mostly. There is a squawk noise that comes when depressing the brakes. It can usually be alleviated by bleeding the brakes, but not always. Sometimes actuator replacement is needed.

The other is a knocking noise when braking. It sounds like a card in the wheel on a bicycle. In that case, actuator replacement is always needed.

In both cases if actuator replacement is needed. We ALWAYS us the brake actuator from the 600hl, as they tend to have no problems, and have no problems being installed

i live in ny, the dealer i brought it from is in ct, i took it there 1st and they couldnt duplicate the problem but i figured that was because the roads there are much smoother, here in ny their probably the worst roads you can find so i took it to one here, and said it was the rear struts i guess ill try another and see how it goes
