Building some wheels needs some help
I'm rebuilding some iforged retro wheels which I got for a steal. The barrels were bent and the chrome lips were peeling. I need the Ls460 wheel pro to help out on spec ideas. The chrome faces will be stripped, brushed and powdercoated clear. I'm about to buy inner and outer barrels and want the fitment to be as good as it can be. When i test fitted them on a friends car (lol) the front and rear hub fit but not even a loose leaf paper could fit in between the spoke and calipers. I may have to run like a 3mm spacer all the way around. OK I'm thinking about either a 3 or a 3 1/2 inch lip up front and a 4 or a 4 1/2 inch lip in the rear. For the inner barrels I'm thinking 6 all the way around. I will be shaving the rear and rolling the front. looking at the pics I'm not sure if I can pull of a 3 1/2 and a 4 1/2. In the pic I couldn't lower the car because i didn't have any m14 aftermarket lugs laying around. The tires are 245 30 22 nexens front.... nice stretch. The rear are bulky generals in 295 25 30 which I will toss. These came off of a BMW M6. I've read through the fitment thread but the offsets for the LS460 is questionable. i also couldn't find any camber adjustment in the rear...or was i looking in the right place?
Front hub
Rear hub
Old inner and outer lips.....11 inches wide but technically a 12.
After they are done they will sort of look like these
These are the last wheels i built I wish they where 5x120 or I would have stepped them asap!!!!!
