Default Upper Control Arm Bushing

What exactly is a cracked upper control arm bushing? I just had my 47K mile car to the dealer for a pre-going-out-of-warranty look over and they fixed this. Four (4) of the part numbers 48630-59135 were installed under warranty.

Is this something that is likely to happen again outside of warranty? Are the new parts perhaps more resistant to this problem than the original parts?

it is relatively common. They actually did a redesign on the upper control arms and the bushings I believe. I had mine done under warranty as well.

So are you saying that I have better-than-original parts?

If your going to keep the car it's time to consider a Lexus Extended Warranty. They can be purchased at discount from various dealers at a discount.
