Default Hold Button

anyone know if there is a way to have the hold button ON as the default rather than off.

Its kind of a pain to turn it on each time i get in the car (if i remember to turn it on)..

That sounds counter-intuitive.

This button is used to hold your brakes, so that you can rest your feet while at a stoplight.

Default Hold button

If I remember correctly the manual states while you are driving you may leave it on for future stops, however, once you turn off the engine and restart you would have to set it again.

Would it even be possible to automatically have the hold button on? Because it doesn't engage if you're on a steep slope and disengages if you have it on for too long.

Amen!!! The playstation generation...aka lazy A.F.!! if one thinks its a chore to push a button..I guess he probably wants the car to start after just sitting in the car so he doesn't have to push the Start button...I tell ya...

Take the 0.5 seconds out of your day to mash that button..its made that way for a reason

This got me once and it was embarrassing. I was using the hold feature while stopped in traffic while waiting for an accident to clear. Well once it cleared I found that the car did not want to move and there was some odd message displayed on the dash. The car set the emergency parking brake on its own.

The car was new to me and I had no idea what happened or how to disengage the e-brake. What was worse is that car horns were now blasting behind me just added to the confusion.

I hit the gas and the car barely moved as the e-brake was set. I finally put the car in park shut the engine down and then restarted. I had no idea what has just happened or even why.

Scary stuff.

^^^ Ha ha, been there, done that. I happened to be at a long light and it did it to me. I knew about this function and the warning but I just wasn't paying attention or just ignored it. When the light turned green and I tried to go I got the beeps from the cars behind me as well. It is hard to undo the parking brake when your are stressed, do I push it, pull it, etc. By the time I got it right only a couple cars made it through the light, I'm sure many people behind me weren't too happy. I felt like an idiot but I guarantee it will never happen again.
