here we go again...
yes fl law reads 28% front 15%rear ( if your at 27% n 14% no ticket, if your at 20% n 10% pay up) what we use at the shop lists at 35% n 20% but they also make a 30%(which is the same as the 35%) ea company lists product as they see fit.. you'd need to measure ea glass (bcuz ea glass will have different reflective properties) before & after the tint is installed to get an exact measure.. fyi you'll also get different readings if the measuring device has new or older batteries.. i have never been stopped in Ga for tint. but in NYC,NJ,DC all i got were warnings (bcuz i had an FL license an the car was registered in FL) and i had double 5%... so if they should have given me a ticket... too little too late... fyi my car now has 35% all the way around.... |
that last night shot looks hot!
i am considering the drop next, but i believe i might just tackle the front rotors and pads first.I'll have them turned and replace the front pads. That needs more attention than dropping the vehicle.
California there's no limit on how dark for the rears but can't have any up front. So mines is 5% rear windows and no tint on the front windows. I also have my sun shade up during the day to make it even darker inside the car.
15% all around except for windshield, which I'm either gonna do 50% or the llumar80 blue tint
Tint thread highjack! Im running on full mirror tint except the rear windsheild is 5% dark. I dont know what you could classify mirror tint % as but its like 50% all around. A cop flashed a light at my window and got blinded LOL!
Really nice look. And you have PM buddy.

Could you get away with at least 50% on front door windows?..or 70% on windshield and front doors to darken them a little without being too obvious for UV rejection

i love the way those wheels look on the car and usually i don't like the black windows but it flows well...do you plan to lower it any?
CJITTY, did you get the high speed balance done at Butler Tire? Or another shop?

Sorry to hijack your thread. You're a lucky man. I wish my gf would put in 3k for a set of rims. |

Aren't they already at 70% from the factory? I thought that's why 35% film takes you to 35% VTL once it's applied. We need a tint expert here. Oops! Make that "VLT" - told you we need an expert...
By the way OP, something is not quite right...I think you need a front lip on that car to set it off  |
