Can someone confirm that 2010 LS 460 was produced without the AWD badge. We just purchased one and there is no badge. Every car I know that is AWD has some sort of badge on it. The Carfax report has AWD, but that is only as good as whatever someone enters.

Is there a site I can go to to verify by VIN that it is indeed AWD? Thanks.

 

I suspect rear end damage..I thought they had awd marked on lower portion of right hand side of trunk..did you search google images?

 

Never mind..just did it for you..I would ask about previous damage to trunk and they forgot to put it back

Also verify AWD with VIN on the My Lexus section of lexus.com

 

Look to see if there are axles in the front.

 

Thanks all. It looks like this 2010 is AWD. Based on the vin: JTHC and the visual inspection. Now I need to decide whether I want to go back to the dealer and request that they add the AWD badging or let it go. The dealer never misrepresented the car (except for not having the correct badging), but when the sales associate told me that Lexus stopped putting the badging on all of its cars, I feel now she would say anything the minimize the absents of the badging.

 

I know the rx doesn't have an awd badge, but every other awd should have one.

 

Your sales associate may be a little off, but is not necessarily lying. In the last couple of years the Lexus vehicle quit the badging with the word "Lexus" Their "L" is their brand indicator now.

I special ordered my 2010 LS. It was one of the last manufactured for that model year. Received delivery late Oct and it has the AWD badge.

 

No AWD badge would scare me a bit.I'd have the LS checked out at a body shop.

 

Exactly. I have seen some Lexus cars with the badging on the wrong side of the car..and crooked!! Dat ain't stock lol

 

AWD badging is one thing...but yesterday was a first for me..I saw a 2010 LS "Luxury" version at a Lexus dealer here in ATL that had the LS Sport body kit with the touring 5 spoke wheels, not sport wheels...car did not have air suspension either...I was scratching my head for a minute on that one..
