Default Beat-Sonic TVK-32 DVD Control Bypass Module or hack?

i was wondering if it would be better to get the beatsonic dvd overide kit or just do the hack by cutting a few wires and grounding out the pk brake wire. i already have the vais ivic-d5 unit installed and operating correctly, so overiding the nav is of no importance because i can use my phones navigation while in motion already.

any thoughts or pros and cons on the issue? thanks.

I don't think it's that simple cutting a few wires otherwise many other people would have done it. I know the concept and works on older systems.

well basically you have to cut the pk brake wire at the nav unit and ground the wire from the plug side to ground, second you have to disable the vss wire otherwise the nav will know you are moving and stop the image.

it can be done, i just need wire colors.

they said a fly audio unit could not be installed in a vehicle that has "oem navigation" but i found a way to do that! so this one is no more complicated, i just need the wire colors and pin locations. thanks anyway..

i went ahead and ordered a prestigious society dvd/nav bypass. i figured it would be the better solution than doing the hack, also i can revert back to stock if i need to for warranty purposes in the future. thanks

so i just installed the prestigious society dvd/nav bypass module. the unit works as described and flawlessly. since i have already taken out the dash and radio before to install the vais ivic-D5 , it was a easier task the 2nd time around. the total time of the entire process of removal, installation, reassembly was 20 mins. if anyone is interested in viewing the dvd while in motion, i highly recomend the PS module. it is worth every cent.
