Default 2007 Lexus LS460 Bluetooth Music Streaming Question.....

So I currently have a 2006 Lexus GS430 and was wondering if the 2007 model LS460 came equipped with streaming music through bluetooth?

I have a 2009 LS460. It doesn't do streaming audio with the iPhone.

i found a company that made a streaming audio piece for the 07-09 460 but it would only play thru the front speakers like on phone calls.. which was a waste so i didnt post it... but i believe there should be more realistic options after CES in jan. if u dont have ML u can always try a parrot... it may work

you can use this:

Amazon Amazon

Several other LS owners have used it successfully. All you need is an A2DP device.

Do you know if you can change the song from the steering wheel mounted controls using this blackberry module? Thanks

Also, would we be able to update the bluetooth from Lexus on a 07 LS460 so that we can stream music like the newer model Lexus' can?

I don't think you can change the track from the steering wheel as all it's providing is blue tooth to the A2DP device. The A2DP device is connected to the head unit via the aux input.

I don't think that you can upgrade the blue tooth connectivity in the car using the factory unit. It only has one bluetooth connection. On 2010+ cars there are actually two - one for the phone and the other for a bluetooth capable music device.

That blackberry thing is what i use. You can't control anything from the car other than volume. It just allows you to stream to the device which is connected to aux.

Does your phone connect with both the audio BT and phone BT (built into the car) at the same, and will it function simultaneously? So if you were listening to music over a BT stream, and someone called you, would it hand off to the cars BT?

Yes it does. I have a Samsung Galaxy S2. I was concerned about that too but it connects to both

Adam--Any loss of music quality over BT? I have an 09 LS Levinson and iPhone 5 and was wondering if you could post links to where I can purchase the entire BT music setup you have. Big thanks!
