We first swapped out the rear festoon LED to the new light cause it was weak BUT I thought let me put two of them up front as well. The front LED bulbs were decent but wanted more light output and let me tell you these new ones due the job beautifully!

Check it out two boards up front & one in the back.

Hello Tee,

I finally decided to change my interior lights to LED. I see you have a LS460. I have a '08 LS600. DE3175 is not the dome light for the LS600. Mine are plug in types. I would guess it is a 194. The manual doesn't state that and I looked on Sylvania lighting's website and they also list the DE3175 as the dome light. Amazon also stated the DE3175 works for my 2008. I am lost on this. Can you provide enlighten me?

Also, I have the Rear Entertainment System and the rear dome light is a part of that whole RES assembly. Do you have any idea how to safely change the light. I read the dome lights should be changed from the rear after removing the assemble. Removing the lens from the front side has a good probability to break the lens.

The lights will work in the 600 like the 460, CJITTY had them in his 600 after transferring them from his old 460. The adapters for the 194 bulb type (Front) is plug and play and the festoon bulb type adaptor will work for the rear.

I replaced my trunk lights in my 2013 and it's like daylight in there now. Are there any LEDs that will dim in the cabin like the incandescents do?

There aren't any LEDs that are dimmable in that size that I know of. I did the trunk myself and yeah it was a world of difference. Best $12 mod in the Lex so far.

My LED's like those in the pic above, dim.....just a little quicker dimming than the incandescents though.

Which ones did you get, mine have "jitter" and don't dim very well. I mean they work, they just aren't smooth at all.

Pretty much as you described. But the pay off is a much whiter light. Works for me

I little research revealed that most LEDs dim via a "pulse width modulation" dimmer, not a simple voltage drop that is supplied to the socket in the Lexus. My guess is that future models will come with LEDs and PWM dimmers.

Ended up getting these for my LS460L. Not the exact set but spent $10 total! Thanks for the tip!

Thanks its super bright! Now if I can find some time to figure out how to replace the bulbs on the back of the front seats and the door handles. Might just leave them.

Has anyone switched out the visor bulbs to led?

Replaced the door panel lights with these below. Can't tell in the pic but they match pretty well.

Default Question about Interior LED upgrade install

I read thru this thread and got the bug to change the interior of my 2012 LS460L to LED. I cant find in this thread which side of dome fixture has the pull down pins. Can anyone provide guidance on the front and rear dome light fixtures or where I can find the instructions?
