Default thinking about selling

when you were a kid, did you ever want a toy real bad??
then you got the toy, played with it for a day or two, and that was it?

that's how i feel about my LS.

always loved the look of the car and knew i'd own one sooner or later.
well, after owning the car for a couple of months, i'm beyond over it.

honestly feel like i had my hopes set too high for this car, and it hasn't lived up to what i expected.

I feel the same way with all my cars sadly, but it is just humanly natural. That's why I like to mod and spice it up everyone in awhile. When you are out off mods to do you sell and go on to the next project, or at least that's the way I look at it LOL

Just curious, what were you expecting and hoping from the car? Was it too boring of a drive? What are you looking at next?

I know what you mean...while I intend to keep my LS it hasn't been as great as I expected. I drove a 2012 Camry on Monday, a rental, and I enjoyed that just as much. The LS is much less agile, less peppy, harder to park, and generally more cumbersome than I has expected.

The problem is not with the LS the problem is with people in general- The more we get the more we want,
After a car like a LS460 its going to be very difficult to find another car that makes you feel that you are driving a nicer one unless you are getting in $200k range

Was expecting a better car all around.
The LS is a nice car, but not as nice as other cars in the price range.

Looking at doing a Tahoe and e46 M3.

I think more likely you just bought the wrong vehicle for what you want. Those vehicles are diametric opposites of an LS. That happens to a lot of us in more than just cars.

Once my wife was battling in her mind whether she wanted a Jeep Grand Cherokee or an Infiniti J30t.

I've never understood the Tahoe....all the bulk of a Suburban with none of the room.

We rented on last year for a business trip. 4 grown men.....the rear seat has so little legroom that one of us, a guy a little over 6 feet tall and rather portly had to sit in the front. He simply could not fit in the back.

Interesting perspective. I just sold my LS because I thought it was simply too nice to drive. Never felt as though it didn't live up to my expectations. It's easily the nicest car I've ever been in or driven. It will be nice not to be stressed out parking my LS in the parking lot of the local supermarket!

The LS isn't for everybody.. Some people like American crap, some like German crap. I prefer the car of the world..

I am gonna be honest with you whatever your expectations are these two cars are not gonna meet them, especially after owning the LS.
Have you considered an 08-11 Porsche Cayenne? Its pretty much two of those combined,
I spent a lot of time test driving one and the handling is amazing; when I was getting the LS my two choices were LS vs Cayenne S. This is coming from a person who used to be all BMW guy and me and all my friends had pretty much every BMW from mid 90s to 2007.

Cayenne turbo is a good idea!

Having owned an e46 m3 and e60 m5, I'm still a fan of BMW. Clearly they could have done a better job with the SMG...

The LS is a great car and it's not like I'm talking about selling my dog or a kidney. Maybe I sell it, then realize it was a mistake. If this happens, guess what, there will always be one for sale on ebay or autotrader. (it wouldn't be the first time I've purchased the same model car twice.)
