Called my service advisor prior to my wife leaving on a business trip to Orlando. Advised him of the inconvience it would be to picking up my car not done and later returning to repeat the whole thing again. He advised me not to worry about the loaner. A day after my wife leaves I get a call and the car is ready. Hopefully when she gets back and I pickp the vehicle they are not going to charge me extra.

Doubleg-----I highly doubt they will charge you extra. In the unlikely event they do, it's time to change dealerships AFTER you complain to the "Head Service Manager" if he doesn't make it right.

Let us know how it goes.

DoubleG, which dealer are you dealing with? Dont have to put the whole name up. Just letters first letters of the names would be fine. I'll know what you mean. If its the same one I dealt with, I'll let you know about my past experiences with them and why I now travel 25 miles to the other one.

DoubleG, I am several states away from you, so my dealer would not be one you are familiar with. If you have a car still under factory warranty and would like a very reasonable price on buying an extended warranty, let me know. I found two that beat my dealer by $1,000 bucks. That's sad too isn't it. It is the Lexus Platinum Warranty, not a third party warranty.

Well, Picked up car and the amp is now working correctly. SR advised me the last one they ordered and received was shorted out. Don't they test electronics prior to sell them or boxing them up? Guess not........
No extra charges for the rental so about 4 weeks..radio and wife are happy again.

Could not agree more on the warranty. I have a 2007 LS460...41K miles....Everyone told me the extended warranty would be a waste..Nothing happens to these cars....Well, the cabin filter issue...would have cost $1750......My Amp just blew today....another ~$1900....so well worth it.......now I have the wind noise issue and the hesitation which both have TSIB....I hope thats it with this car..

The Lexus Platinum Warranty which takes the factory warranty out 4 years past the "In-Service" date of your car or to 75,000 miles on the odomoter (you can go more miles) cost me $1,715 if you buy this month, Next month it will be $1,765. Toby River at Shreveport, La. Lexus, 1-800-335-3987.

If you car is out of "Factory Warranty", you can discuss a different Warranty with Toby. Also, being out of state, "NO SALES TAX".

Toby Rivers of Shreveport, La. Lexus beat my local Dealership Warranty by about $1,100. That's worth doing business with him for. I like to be loyal to where I get my car repaired if necessary, but I'm not THAT loyal. A very nice gentleman.

Glad you liked him as much as I did. I received my phamplet and Warrantee Application in the mail from him yesterday, as well as my credit card receipt.

Shop him first, or shop him last. I think he's the best.
