imho chrome belongs on a luxury car but to each his own. I agree that a wrap would probably eb the best bet. I am pretty sure we have multiple members who have painted their grilles to match the body color. What were you thinking and what color is the car??

shibumi1, you can't powder coat plastic.

car is silver.

going to debadge (leave the L).

chrome that needs to go:
trim around the windows, rocker panels, grill, and door handles.

last car didn't have any chrome, it had a luxury vibe:

I've started to do this just to get an idea of what it will look like. I'm just using Plasti dip to get the idea and then will peal it off later on.

The window trim is "die-cast zinc, hand polished, and chrome-plated", info from Motor Trend article, October 2006.

Funny, recently a popular mod was adding the chrome trim on the front bumper cover's lower valance. We all have different taste and preference.

Chrome/Silver look good together, but I could see your point if it were a darker color (though I'm not so much a fan of the look on RuCuS81's car or the monotone of the BMW - no offense).

I concur that the chrome that exists looks right and the factory stuff isn't overly done IMO. I have a silver LS as well, but as with all mods, it's all in the execution of the work. Personally i can't see the chrome pieces looking right if they were all body paint color, but that's just me and not thinking about it too much.......

Will be curious to see how it looks if you make the changes.
