I don't know if anyone on the forum has had an issue like this with their LS460. About 10 minutes after a cold start in the morning I get a loss in power. I 1st noticed it just driving along at 60mph and all of a sudden it felt like the car was being loaded down. It feels like the engine is getting it's timing pulled back A LOT. It's intermittent. By the time I 1st took it down to the dealer (almost an hour away) it went away. They did get it to do it one morning but cleared out the cars ECU and it didn't do it again for them. I took it back to put some miles on it and it did it again. I dropped it off yesterday and they said it wasn't doing it for them. I don't want to pick it up until they find out what it is. It's frustrating because 1) I don't like people driving my car, and 2) I want to be able to drive my car without any issues. When it's bad you can give the car 1/2 to 3/4 throttle and it feels like you are giving it 1/4 throttle. Also the exhaust does get louder when this happens as well. Lame...
hmmmm I wonder what could it be, bad fuel????, dirty throttle body or air filter, please fill us in what they find, i would suspect this to happen for me being that i barely drive this car, but no probs....
I had this issue too and took it to the dealership. They updated my ecu for free and it never happened again. It should be covered under the power train warranty. There are cases where the cylinder heads had issues fortunately mine wasn't that.
I would lean in that direction as well, and based on the symptoms you are describing and that your car is an '07, my guess is that more than likely, the whole TSIB is applicable: ECM flash and cylinder head replacement.
Just a short note to assist others who are reading your thread: The weblink you posted has some problem associated with it. I believe a better web site solution is this one:
The tech at the dealer has been trying to reproduce the issue for days. He did his best to get something to show that something is going on by logging with the TechStream and nothing. I drove it with him this morning and it drove fine. UGH. Lexus won't approve any warranty repairs unless they have logged data. I tried to get them to lend me their Techstream It would be nice if it never happened again but if it does, I'd like to get it addressed somehow.
I've been having the same issues. I will address this when I take the ride back to the dealer. Almost got hit last week when my car hesitated when I floored it to get in the fast lane on the interstate. Scary feeling without a doubt!

Not a good feeling at all, for sure. I had a few scary situations like that as well.
My car is a 2008, but an early-build (11/07) for that model year. When my ECM calibration was updated, I found out I had the one just before the most current one. I also found out that there had been three or four calibrations since the LS460 was released. In other words, they had been trying to get rid of this problem for a while. If it was bad for me with the calibration just before the current one, I can only imagine how the original calibrations felt.
Called Lexus Customer Care and since the issue wasn't logged on the TechStream Computer they will not approve the TSB to be done. I guess I have to live with it.
I have a similar problem, when I first start the car up and then drive, between me accelerating I get a bump feeling (kinda like switching gears). Do you experience that too.
