Default Opinions, Concerns and Advice: Re-drilling 5 x 120 wheels to fit 5 X 114

Fellas,

I have been looking at some 22's that will fit the LS well. What is your opinion regarding re-drilling? keeping in mind, that the most important aspect i think is the quality of the work.

thanks,

***NOTE: i messed up on the title. I am trying to get BMW wheels to fit the LEXUS!!! ****

the lexus 4th gen LS bolt pattern is 5x120, so if the wheels were originally made for BMW, you wouldn't need to drill.

the other measurements are more important in selecting a set of wheels (hub center bore, width, offset, and disk size for brake clearance)

as said above, the BMW and LS460 both share the same 5x120 bolt pattern.

Yeah BMW wheels and LS460 bolt patterns match. You just need to make sure of the bore and offset

Do ALL BMWs have the 120 bolt pattern or just the 7 series? I thought it was just 7 series that matched up

Im pretty sure most of them. i know the 3 series for sure is. So with that why wouldn't the 5 or 6 series be the same.

I tried this route too with the 7 series HRE and Klassen wheels but found the offsets and wheel widths very aggressive (20x10F and 20x11.5R). They needed a 10mm spacer in the front to clear the brakes so I gave up on that since I didn't want to pull on the fenders to make them fit.

I agree with that, the wheels we'd want to target if looking to purchase BMW wheels would be 3/5/6-series, and X5/X6.
