i will most definitely recommend that. you are taking out the exact same components already, might as well install both together

 

what does the ML+ module get you that the Prestigious Society nav over ride doesnt provide? I seem to be missing somthing.

Okay never mind. I see that this will add ipod connectivity to the nav system. I dont need this as I have AUX and USB ports in my RX.

i did both an im pleased with the results... i almost exclusively listen to my ipod now... an on roadtrips the 150+ movies on it make long drives a lil easier.. and not having to stop to enter an address is the best.....

 

Any of you guys used a product like the Seagate GoFlex with your iPhone / iPod touch, etc in your car and through the system?

I've thought about picking one up lately. It's a 500GB hard drive that has wireless and iOS apps to access it and it really opens up the options of having lots of music / movies stored on it to use.

Does anybody know if there is some firmware fix to show national characters for song names when you play ipod. So far I like ipod interface but not showing national charcters just dots ruines the deal.

it's not a problem of the vaistech units, it's a problem of the lexus navigation system. it doesn't use unicode. sux

at least with ml+ it will display whatever you see on the ipod itself

 

That sounds great!! Unfortunately I have the premium sound system and I was told that the backup camera issue is still present with my car. They said they would notify me once the problem is fixed and fully compatible with my car. BTW thanks Henry for the help

 

Ok, I scrolled thru this thread and I cant seem to figure something out. I have an 07 with the ML and my rear camera wont work sometimes. I see something on here about that but couldnt figure out what I needed. Can somone lead me in the right direction? Ive taken it to the dealer but since it only happens sometimes, they cant seem to get it "not to work" when its there.

The camera issue we are referring to in this thread used to occur following the installation of the Vaistech MediaLinq Plus (ML+) iPod integration module. I wasn't sure if this is what you are referring to, or whether you mean that you have the Mark Levinson sound in your LS (I know, the "ML" acronym does need some clarification).

If you do have the Vaistech unit and are experiencing camera issues, contact Vaistech. I did extensive testing/troubleshooting with them, and they were able to correct it with a software update that is now included on newly purchased units.

If you do not have the Vaistech, then the camera issue you are experiencing is different from the one mentioned in this thread and involves the stock Lexus components, not the Vaistech unit.
