i only have put my LS in power mode for a day in city and my gas average went from 25mpg to 18mpg at the end of the day...is this normal? *sidenote-i did put it in "manual" mode as well

is it better to turn power on before i take it out of park or does it matter?

 

it doesn't matter when you put it into pwr mode

gas mileage wise, it's all about your driving, there is no "normal" or not

 

i put my car into pwr mode, the transmission kept my gear instead of up shifting stayed in higher rpm which will drop gas mileage because the engine is working harder. correct me if i am wrong.

 

I use the power mode only in summer, compensates a little for the heavier load of the A/C I think, but don't notice much difference in mileage. The MGP always goes down in summer here again, because it's 110 outside.

since i have been riding in power mode..i get 25-27mpg
where as in normal mode i get 22-24
i do have "torque" issue when taking off at red light..never seem to keep it smooth only downside
