MA Owners: Requesting your help
Hi everyone, here is my situation... After replacing the tires on my LS and multiple road force rebalancing attempts at the dealer and elsewhere, my car continues to have a steering wheel shimmy that is driving me nuts.
At this point, the next logical step would be to try a set of tires and wheels that is known to be vibration free, but my dealership has no LS 460s in stock. Would anyone here be willing to help me out? I realize it's a bit of a gutsy move to ask, so I understand if people are not too comfortable with the idea of letting me drive my car with their tires and wheels on it, but I'm running out of options so I thought I'd ask.
Thank you in advance. The car is currently at the dealership in Metro West.

It definitely feels like a tire issue, given how it's a function of speed, etc., and I hope that is the case, though the shop foreman at the dealership has some doubts about that.
Just this morning I tried a local shop that owns a GSP9700. They took their time to check through everything (and charged me an arm and a leg too), and the vibration is marginally better but still very much present at the same speeds as before, so I am at a loss (not to mention a bit tired of dealing with this).
The tires I put on (to answer your original question, sorry!) are Michelin Pilot Sport Plus A/S.

really stiff tire though, could be a manufacture defect. If you jz bought it, I recommend to bring it back and swap it out. Not every tires are perfect form to every rims. I did a ls460 recently and I put on dunlop sport signature, so far so good. My customer havent got any issue with it.

I actually bought them at the dealer, something I had never done before, but the price was reasonable, and I didn't have much of a choice as I needed new tires in order to pass inspection.
We could probably pursue something with Michelin directly if we knew for sure that the tires are bad, and this is why I would like to try good wheels and tires on my car to see how it goes, since road force measurements seem to be fine.

Thank you for the suggestion. I like what I read about that tire, but unfortunately they don't seem to make in the right size unless you have 19" wheels.
