Wow, it must be dusty. I change my air filters every 15,000 miles and they weren't that bad...

Mobil 1 0W20 or Toyota Brand 0W20

Both are full synthetic. The Toyota oil is labeled Toyota by Mobil 1.

Honestly as long as you change the fluid and the filter at a regular interval the brand and weight is not that big of a deal... 0-20 or 5-30 etc.. its all within range, and even if you run conventional there is a great chance this motor will outlive your ownership of it.

I got a full synthetic oil change and tire rotation at my Toyota dealer on Wednesday for $74. Lexus dealer is 20 more miles away and about $60 more. Just adding one more option.

yep, i had a Toyota Tundra before my Lexus. i have a great relationship with one of the service managers at my Toyota dealership which is right down the road as opposed to 20 miles away for the Lexus.

they charged me $15 to change my oil in my Tundra if i brought my own oil. i hope to get the same price for my new car. i plan on buying my own Mobil 1 0w-20 and taking it to them. i'll let you know on the out the door price.

i'm wondering if their Techstream can change options in the Lexus as well (i.e. seat belt chimes, etc)

I am about to get a used 2010 LS 460 I now have a 1991 LS 400 with close to 300,000 miles and I use Mobil one 5w-30 and 0w-20 will also work I use the mobil one extended and run it 15,000 miles on the LS 460 I will go 10,000 to 12,000 between changes I have seen the Lexus motors go 700,000 600,000 and 500,000 miles on regular oil but running mobil one will help keep the engine clean pass smog better and get better gas mileage. there is a story about some guy In San Diego CA with over a MILLION MILES on his 1990 lexus using mobil one synthetic oil unable to find him so far happy motoring you are driving the worlds best car bar none...

Whatever synthetic oil is on sale at walmart.......... brands like Mobil 1, Valvoline, Pennzoil, and Castrol are good enough for my Lexus. Of course along with Lexus oil filter.

Bill, just curious, I'm in the market for a 2010 LS SWB Levinson. They are rare since many are not off-lease yet. How and where did you find yours. Also, can you provide pricing and car details? Much appreciated!
